Emily Austin of Emily Untangled brought together her “Beauty Brigade” to celebrate the Givingest of Givers.
The goal is to offer up a day of care and nurturing to one who gives of herself without expectation. And who better than Hallie, the Team Newby Queen and Jeremy’s partner of over 20 years?!
The team is all West Seattle business owners inspired by Emily Austin.
The team includes Wendy Peterson of Style by Wendy, Marian DiPerna of Horizon Massage Therapy, Dawn Bly of Mary Kay Cosmetics, Kelly Barrett of Stella & Dot, Sarah Horner of Rodan + Fields, and Lifestyle/Storytelling Photographers Sadie of DIWAS Photography.
The team pooled their services to give back and reached out to others for a gift bag of aweseomeness (Sarah Horner with Rodan + Fields, Morgan Sontag of Breakfree Therapy and Coaching and others!)
The Beauty Brigade found lots of nominees, all who were strong, caring, compassionate women AND those who are thoughtful in communicating and recognizing the power of love and service to others.
DIWAS Photography was moved to choose Hallie, describing her as “a phenomenal woman who stands strong and proud and powerfully by her partner.”
Two and a half years ago, Jeremy was diagnosed with ALS.
One in 6,000 people are diagnosed with ALS a year.
Hallie has remained steadfast, often acting as Jeremy’s advocate as well as his nurse and caregiver.
Hallie has continued to work her job to provide a stellar quality of life for her love.
She has also coordinated compassionate care with friends to help with daily care routines so he can live a life that fosters creativity, spirit, humor, music and Star Wars.
Hallie and Jeremy worked together to coordinate a day that would be dedicated to Hallie being able to receive care, and to be the focus of the love and attention of a handful of business owners…much to her unease!
Hallie keeps Jeremy in good spirits and organizes his friends’ visits to keep him active in his own circles.
With massage, mimosas, personal styling, hair and make-up…she was ready for her close-up.
DIWAS writes “We are so honored to be a part of this day of giving, and so appreciative to be allowed into this sacred time of your being Hallie and Jeremy. Thank you for welcoming us into your life and home.”
